I don't want to dwell on my disappointment/frustration/anger/sadness anymore. I will say this- I remember people crying, furious, livid when Gore and then Kerry weren't elected. And now I'm unreasonable for not jumping on the Obama bandwagon? That makes no sense to me. *sigh* How quickly people forget what it's like when your guy loses. Anyway, I appreciate my like-minded friends and their comments of support and commiseration! And I appreciate my one brave liberal friend for commenting as well. :)
So...moving on!
I have my women's Bible study tonight and I'm really looking forward to it. I have absolutely loved this class! I have learned a lot and we're just getting started.
Mike and I have planned a little road trip this weekend, more details on that later. :)

road trip to kc??? how great would that be!
You have had one of the most grown-up responses that I have seen: I have former friends and acquaintances that are screeching about how Obama is the anti-christ and the end of the world is at hand. Of course you are allowed to be angry. I was FURIOUS when Bush was re-elected, I really didn't think our country could be dumb enough to do such a thing and it made my blood boil to think about it. But I never went around spewing complete and utter nonsense about him or our country. How are we ever going to get our country back on track if we don't all come together and make it happen? Anyway... I hope that in another year or two, you will see why it was so important for our country to elect not only a Democrat, but the first ever minority President. If he even delivers half of what he has promised, our country will be a much better place in the next 4 to 8 years. Enough of politics though... let's move on! ;)
Hey Angela, just wanted to say hi and to say that while we have different opinions on politics, I definitely know how you feel (I was in a serious state of mourning after the 2004 results). But since even the most conservative Republicans admit that the Bush years have been disastrous, we can't really go anywhere but up from here. While I'm a progressive and am glad Obama won, I don't agree with some of his positions and I hope people really press him and Congress on important issues. I am still infuriated about Congress (and Obama) supporting the bail-out, and I could go on about other things which I won't.
But, in the spirit of moving on, I give you this: a live cam of a basket full of puppies. It makes everything better.
