I promised to discuss some of the things I've been eating since I've changed my diet. I think I'll break these posts down by meal. Here are some of the things I've been eating for breakfast:
A typical morning: Bear Naked Vanilla Almond Crunch Granola with Soy Slender Plain Soymilk.
I usually add a piece of fruit and take my vitamins & calcium supplement.
or- steel cut oats w/ a little bit of cinnamon or almonds on top.
A weekend morning: I've been experimenting with various fruit shakes/smoothies. It's usually a combination of soy milk, no sugar added applesauce, various fruit and protein powder. Easy!

mmm, i love steel cut oats! but what kind of research have you done on soy? i need to do the research, but i've heard that soy might not be so good for us women, especially if we already have hormone level issues. hmmm.
Good question! I've done some reading about soy and health concerns and I haven't found enough negatives that makes me hesitant to eat it. Bottom line for me is that cutting out all dairy has made me feel amazing- and supplementing the soy products in place of the dairy products is what I need to do to have some kind of a normal existence. :-) I also don't have soy at every meal- mainly just breakfast or occasionally tofu with dinner.
I'm also interested to try almond milk as another alternative to regular milk.
