Who the hell is in Albuquerque??

Before I get to today's blog, I have to address something!! A few weeks ago I put a stat tracker on the blog, nothing invasive, just basic stuff: how many people visit everyday, what key words they might use in google to find the blog etc. I was pretty shocked at how many people actually do come here and read my little blog. But, what is frustrating is how many people come, read and don't leave a comment! Seriously! I had 26 visitors yesterday & no comments :(

We apparently have a reader in Albuquerque who comes A LOT. Who are you, you New Mexico lurker?? Ahh well, hope I can keep it interesting for you :)

So last night was the first concert in the series of concerts this week for Walmart's Annual Shareholders Meeting. I wasn't sure of the camera policy at the arena, so you'll have to deal with our crappy cell phone pics.

So Mike and I went last night with no expectations. Neither of us are fans of either act, we just thought it'd be fun to go. We were pleasantly surprised by them both. Chris Brown put on a good show. He's a pretty talented singer and an amazing dancer. The best part of his performance was the bejewled Walmart hoodie he wore on stage... yeah, I'm not kidding. Hilarious!!

Fall Out Boy played next, each act played for about an hour and 15 minutes. Not bad for a free show. I was more familiar with their music, but still not a fan. I mainly know about them due to Pete Wentz's unfortunate Sidekick pictures that leaked on the internet last year (you can google that, but I wouldn't!).

They were actually really decent. Just loud fun music. What I didn't expect was how hawt Mr. Wentz was, since I'm typically not into dirty eyeliner wearing musicians. The other guys in the band were fug, but he was not bad to look at for an hour :)

So, thats it. Tonight we get to see The Eagles!! I'll try to remember the camera.

3 States in 3 Days!

We've had such a great Memorial Day Weekend! Saturday morning we headed to Tulsa for a wedding. It was great to be back in town for a few hours. The wedding was nice (it was so fun to see girls I knew in middle school!), the reception was at the Oaks Country Club, so it was fun to be so close to the chapel where we were married.

Sunday we headed to Grand lake to Justin & Ashley's lakehouse. The weather was crappy, so we only stayed a few hours. Mike informed me that we did a "Dap & Dip". I almost peed my pants right there, laughing so hard. My hubby cracks me up sometimes.

Monday we woke up and decided to make the short drive to Eureka Springs. It was wonderful! The drive there was gorgeous and short! We had lunch on the balcony of the Basin Park Hotel overlooking the streets of downtown Eureka Springs. You can see the balcony on the left side of the picture below.

After lunch, we walked around, did some shopping and bought some fudge!! So, 3 states in 3 days: Oklahoma on Saturday, drove through Missouri on our way to the lake on Sunday and back in Arkansas on Monday! All in all, a perfect weekend.

P.S.- I thought Jack was super hawt with the beard and the aviator glasses. Just make him take a shower and he's be perfect!

Lost redeemed itself in my eyes. I cannot wait for next season.

We've thought about it...

And we want a BULLDOG! We've been thinking about it for a while (Mike even had a dream about it last night!) and we've decided we want a bulldog. We will wait until we can find the perfect little dog from either a shelter or a bulldog rescue group, but we think there's one in our future! So, the question is: French or English??

Which one?? They're both adorable to us (in a "so ugly its cute" way). Both breeds have their pros & cons. We're torn!

Fit TV Love

I'm loving Fit TV. I don't know if Cox carries it in Tulsa, but I've found 2 shows that i am addicted to: All Star Workouts & Namaste Yoga.

All Star Workouts has a different trainer on everyday, leading you through a different type of workout.
Yesterday I did cardio bootcamp and today I'm doing belly dancing! :)
They also have bhangra dance, pilates, strength training, kickbox cardio, stretch & relaxation, etc.

The other show I love is Namaste Yoga. I've always been a yoga fan, but this is awesome because Its a pretty intensive class without having to leave the house. I've been alternating these shows every other day. I'm sore!

Okay, okay... I'll try it.

So I was flipping through the channels the other night and happened to find the Grey's Anatomy season finale. I figured there was only 20 minutes left, why not watch it?
I had never seen the show, EVER. I resisted it for some reason. Everyone told me how great it was. I guess I figured it was like some horrible Desperate Housewives type show set in a hospital. (And I despise Desperate Housewives.) But... I LOVED IT!!

I feel like I've been missing out! Who are these people? I want to know why George and Callie are married (they just don't make sense to me as a couple), and why is Izzy (sp?) professing her love to him? Why in the hell does Meredith not want to be with the super hot Dr. guy?
(I'm assuming he's McDreamy? :)) Why did the other guy leave Sandra Oh on their wedding day. Why did she choose such an unfortunate necklace to wear (seriously hideous) on her wedding day? lol

So, it looks like I will be ordering the first season from netflix and trying to figure out whats going on. when does the 2nd season come out?

I know some of you love this show--- FILL ME IN!

Lots of fun Walmart news today :)

Mike was awarded "Associate of the Month" for the Wal-Mart Information Systems Dept. Yay Mike!! Along with the nifty little certificate and recognition at their morning meeting, he was also given a comp day (aka a free day off!). I'm proud of him. He's only been there 3 months and he's already turning heads!!

The concert list for the Walmart Annual Shareholders meeting was released today. Every year they have a series of concerts for their associates. The one I'm most excited about is The Eagles! I've loved them since I was a little girl and am psyched to see them live.
The other shows we can go to are: Fall Out Boy, Chris Brown, Hall & Oats, Kool & the Gang and 2 other acts I've never heard of. Some of those will be good and some will be hilarious!

Favorite Things

I have nothing interesting to blog about today. No big earth shattering news, no drama, nothing funny... So I want to blog about all of my new obsessions!

Urban Decay Primer Potion. This stuff is amazing! It makes your eyeshadow (even cheap stuff) stay on all day long. I seriously love it! $15, but the tube is cute and lasts forever.

I'm usually a huge makeup snob. In the past I've worn MAC, Bobbi Brown, Vincent Longo, Chanel, Nars etc. But this Revlon eyeshadow is the best stuff ever. I bought it for the first time a few weeks ago. It comes in a million shades and is super cheap. My Mac eyeshadow quad is $36, this stuff from Revlon is $6!

Rimmel Magnifeyes Mascara. Once again, super cheap and sooo good! Costs around $5.

Caress Exotic Oil Infusions.This smell amazing and once again is cheap!! Its limited edition, but I hope it stays on the market a while. Around $4.

Finally an obsession Mike shares with me! I always bought Bomb Pops from the Ice Cream man when I was younger. I found them at Wal-Mart last week and we love them! $2.50 for 12. (if you get the Bomb Pop Jr.'s, they're only 50 calories a piece!)

good times...

My mom, dad and grandma came up for a visit on mom's day and we had such a nice time! We all played guitar hero and ate yummy food and enjoyed each others company. Then Mike and I continued our Sunday tradition with The Sopranos & Entourage. I'm loving The Sopranos this season, can't believe theres only 3 episodes left!!

6 months!?!

So this week is our 6 month anniversary. i can't believe its already been 6 months!!! I'm going to be posting some of my favorite wedding pictures this week. So, if you're sick of them, come back to the blog next week! :)

The picture below is one of my favorites. I just remember how I was feeling at that moment. My bridesmaids had just walked down the aisle. My wedding coordinators had just closed the chapel doors and were helping me with my veil. The pianist had just started playing Moonlight Sonata and it finally hit me... I'm getting married!!!! So emotional.

Its tough to find a picture of these guys were they aren't cracking each other up. I'm sure one of them is telling a really bad joke...

This is another candid shot. (I never knew when that damn photographer was around!) I remember thinking about my late-grandfather Tom a lot that day. This is probably one of those times.

The girls!! They made it all so fun that day.

So, last weekend Mike and I were sitting on our couch, eating popcorn, watching a movie. Mike looks at me and said, "I love being married to you. Its the best. Its like summer camp, but it doesn't end!". Seriously. how can I not love this guy to pieces?

Best TV Ever.

Its been a fairly uneventful week. Its been raining SO MUCH. Mike hates it, I love it. Tonight we watched Lost (I can't believe the season is almost over!!). Since I don't have anything interesting to talk about, I thought I'd blog about our favorite tv shows...

Heroes is amazing, seriously. We never miss an episode and they haven't disappointed us yet. Such a cool show.

I've watched Lost since its premiere and it has had its ups and downs. I've really enjoyed the last few episodes and can't wait for the finale.

Mike and I really enjoyed the BBC version of The Office, but weren't really that into the American version until last year.We've netflixed all the past seasons and are in love with this show!

Jack Bauer is a badass. We love the hell out of 24!

Okay, I can't believe I'm admitting this...but I love Battlestar Gallactica!!! I usually hate Sci-Fi, but this show is so good. Mike has helped me find my inner nerd :)


So, these are our shows. Sure I watch other crap tv
(American Idol, The Amazing race, Survivor etc etc) But these are our favorites!
