Stuff I've seen, bought or want
Ahhhh, Eclipse. It was amazing! My favorite of the books and by far my favorite of the movies. I might have already seen it twice...
I just bought these boots. Faux suede (so they're vegan!), knee-high and comfy. I've already tried them on with leggings and my skinny jeans. Love love love them! Way cuter in person. And if we're friends in real life, you'll get to see them since these are probably the only shoes I'll be wearing this fall/winter. :-)
My mom and dad came up to stay with us for the 4th of July and mom took me to the MAC counter for my birthday. I started wearing MAC last year and I'm addicted. Love just about everything they make.
and I had to include this because, well because it's ridiculous and awesome all at the same time.

2009 My Year in Review
I started doing these posts a few years ago- it's fun for me to look back at everything that has happened and I've documented over the past year on my blog.
Here we go!
January:
We rang in 2009 with our new friends Matt, Amy & Fitz. Dinner at an Irish pub and watching VH1- best metal bands of all time! haha!
Connor was finishing up boot camp and we got our first glimpse of him as a Marine:
and then he graduated!
I also got one of these:
and it changed my life.
February:
Connor came home!
I finished my Bible study class:
Mike survived the Walmart layoffs... I dyed my hair... yeah February was kind of uneventful.
March:
We were able to start enjoying the awesome Spring weather at the lake in our neighborhood:
We adopted this guy! (and renamed him Marty McFly- much better than his former name "Salem")
And probably the thing I'm most proud of this year---I became VEGAN!
April:
I got to spend time with my favorite girls in the world:
and to make it even better I got to see Britney with Allison!!
I fell in love with this picture: haha, yes I'm lame...
I took an amazing trip with Mike, and had lots of fun convincing him to do uber-dorky things:
I was very sad over the passing of Bea Arthur:
May:
Super excited over our new dining room table!
We went to North Caroline for my BIL's law school graduation:
and then on to a fabulous vacation to Lake Lure/aka where they filmed The Last of the Mohicans & Dirty Dancing!
June:
Ummm holy sh*t, I turned 30. And I got some gorgeous flowers:
I reconnected with a high school BFF:
Connor graduated from Marine Military Police school:
and got to come home on leave for a few weeks.
We held the first annual Solano-Farrar garage sale and made some cash:
We had a family road trip and took Connor to St. Louis. He shipped out to Okinawa and we won't see him again for at least another year. :-(
I'm so thankful we got to spend some time together before he left. I miss him like crazy.
Mike and I went to Trek Expo! It's our yearly nerd trip and we have a blast:
July:
We redecorated the office and I was thrilled to get new desks!
Jack Bauer started his obedience training!
Mike took me to see Legally Blonde the Musical! So fun!!
August:
We went floating on the Elk RIver:
We became obsessed with these guys:
I began the looooong process of scanning in our old family photos:
I started decorating for Halloween (yeah, I jumped the gun a little bit on this one)
My mom was awesome and went and saw Brit with me (that's right, I saw her twice! haha!)
I tackled some major house projects: recovering a chair, laying a new kitchen floor and redoing our guest bathroom:
Mike and I took a road trip to see the Kings of Leon. Best concert ever.
My mom & I made our annual trek to the Tulsa State Fair:
My parents came up for the weekend and we hit up a few arts & crafts festivals:
Mike and I kicked ass at our friends annual Halloween party! I won Best Costume:
and Mike won Most Original Costume:
November:
I started decorating for Thanksgiving:
I read (and LOVED) this book:
This picture made me giddy:
We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary!
I saw this a few times:
We took a road trip to Branson for some Christmas shopping:
I decorated for Christmas:
December:
I chopped off a foot of hair!
we sent out our Christmas cards:
and went on a Caribbean cruise:

WOW!! Longest post ever!! If you made it this far, I applaud you. haha! We're looking forward to a great New Year's Eve with Matt, Amy & Fitz! It's becoming a tradition. :-) Hope everyone has a fantastic 2010!!
